The isostatic presses serve for dry pressing of round or multi-edge, flat or deep, scalloped or festooned articles of spray dried granulate, which is injected into the pressing tool by means of compressed air. The subsequent application of the isostatic pressure via polyurethane membrane serves the high compaction of the powder bulk. The opposite mould part is lined by polyurethane as well, thus the article is only in touch with inert plastic parts (membrane and lining). After the entire pressing cycle the mould is opened and the article demoulded by gravity onto the exit belt, which moves the item to the following rim fettling machine in order to remove any pressing flashes or seams. The high pressure casting machines are producing a big variety of preferably irregular shaped resp. nonround ceramic articles by solid- and/or drain casting. All of the numerous benefits which are well known for this technology are fufilled accordingly with respect to an enormous increase of capacity and quality. The porous working mould is tightly held together by means of the closing unit and carefully filled with slip. Afterwards the application of the casting pressure is effected. After completing the casting time (wall thickness) the mould is opened by the use of compressed air. Thereafter by a vacuum sucker or special demoulding device the article is received from the other mould part.
